Sebergham Parish Council holds 6 meetings each year, one being its ‘Annual Meeting’ in May. In addition, an ‘Annual Parish Meeting’ takes place each March for the benefit of all parishioners who may wish to discuss local issues with Councillors. Unless otherwise advertised, meetings normally take place in Welton Village Hall commencing at 7.30pm or remotely online.
Members of the public are entitled to attend meetings of the council and observe the business taking place but are not allowed to take part in any debate. However, at each parish council meeting, time is allocated for ‘Public Participation’ at which point the meeting is adjourned and members of the public can speak on issues that concern them.
All issues must relate to the published Agenda. To add an issue to the agenda, please contact the Parish Clerk.

This includes an archive of minutes in PDF format, but minutes going forward will be produced in the more accessible HTML format.
The current Coronavirus/Covid-19 restrictions limit physical meetings taking place. We use the virtual meeting platform GoToMeeting where members of the public can access online or by telephone. Please see gotomeeting.com
Further details on how to access a meeting remotely will be released with each meeting agenda.
Due to the current Coronavirus outbreak the following policy has been adopted and initiated to allow the parish council to carry out business that is required until able to meet again. Sebergham Parish Council – High Consequence Infectious Disease
All decisions made under this policy will be ratified at the next parish council meeting.

The council employs a clerk, who together with the chairman, is responsible for the ‘day to day’ running of the council. Any correspondence relating to the parish council should be directed to the clerk via the Contact Page.
Parish Council Elections
Elections for the membership of the Parish Council take place every four years. As only four nominations were received to fill the eight council seats at the election in May 2019, all four will automatically serve as Councillors without a poll being held.
Parish Notice Boards
The parish council maintains three notice boards within the parish on which official notices are displayed. They are located in Churchtown, Sebergham, in the lay-by adjacent to Sebergham bridge, and in the centre of Welton village.
Parish notice boards can also be used by members of the public to advertise other local events. Users are kindly requested to remove notices and posters once the event has taken place.
